After School Programs
The Pittsburg Unified School District offers no-cost after-school programs at each of our elementary and junior high sites. Programs are available to students in 1st through 8th grades. These programs are free to students who attend school in the district and who can benefit from this type of programming. The program starts at the end of the school day and runs to 6:00 p.m. daily. Students are expected to participate for the entire afternoon. There is limited space available at each site, so it is best to contact the site directly to determine availability.
The goal of the program is to provide a safe and healthy environment where students can engage in active learning. Each afternoon, the students will have the opportunity to work on homework and participate in enrichment and recreational activities. In addition, a healthy snack and supper is provided every day.
