Resources for Immigrant Families
Pittsburg Unified School District hosted a community meeting on December 9, 2024 regarding the District’s Safe Haven Resolution. Thank you to Superintendent Dr. Janet Schulze, Alejandra Leon from Fagen, Friedman and Fulfrost, LLP, and the Pittsburg Police Department for their partnership, support, and information. It is important that all of our scholars are in school every day, learning in a supportive and safe environment. Below are resources for the community and staff related to PUSD’s Safe Haven Resolution.

The backbone of Stand Together Contra Costa is the hotline, which is staffed Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm to provide a single point of contact for those that are witnessing or are the subject of ICE activity in our community. Dispatchers are waiting to verify raids or dispel rumors, provide legal observation and accompaniment to family members left behind, work with family to gather information to support legal defense due process services and coordinate with assigned attorneys for individuals in bond and removal proceedings.
