Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee
Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) is designed to ensure that spending decisions made by the school district will be subject to direct taxpayer review, and the public will be promptly alerted to any waste or abuse. Proposition 39 requires each bond measure to include a specific list of projects to be financed from the bonds. The citizens’ committee is charged with ensuring that bond revenues from Measure P, Measure N, Measure E, Measure J, and Measure L are only spent on specific projects and that no funds are used for any teacher or administrator salaries, or for other school operating expenses. The committee is made up of community volunteers.
