Marina Vista Elementary School is in the heart of the downtown Pittsburg, The school opened for classes in 2009.
- The school construction was financed through the 2004 Measure E bond, City of Pittsburg financing, and State of Califorrnia matching funds.
- The current enrollment at the school for the 2024-25 school year is 617 students.
- There are four solar panel sub-arrays at the sight, with an annual production of over 230MWh per year. The array was constructed using a 30-year interest-free loan from the California Energy Commission. It was built during the summer of 2015.
