The Pittsburg Unified School District After School Program (ASP) contracts with qualified organizations to provide its base after school program. Occasionally, ASP may consider supplemental program proposals intended to enhance or expand services for participating scholars.

 

Consideration Criteria

 

Supplemental program proposals may be considered at the sole discretion of ASP and must, at a minimum, meet the following criteria:

• Alignment with ASP program goals, California Quality Standards for Expanded Learning, and District priorities
• Demonstrated ability to meet a need to a greater depth or degree than is NOT currently being provided by existing ASP program providers, or to address a clearly identified gap in services
• Supports equitable access for scholars and is reasonable and necessary within After School Program operations, as determined by ASP, including consideration of site capacity, scheduling constraints, and program consistency across school sites.
• Availability of funding and program capacity
• Submission of a clear, well-defined proposal that includes:
• Evidence that the program is established when applicable and research-based methodology
• Compliance with all District, state, and federal requirements, including minimum staff qualifications, background checks, and training requirements
• Relevant data, outcomes, or recommendations supporting the proposed services

Solicitation and Review Process

 

Due to the volume of inquiries received, ASP does not solicit proposals on an ongoing basis and is not obligated to respond to unsolicited proposals, inquiries, or “cold contacts.” Submission of a proposal does not guarantee review, approval, or the award of a contract. ASP reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue consideration of supplemental program proposals at any time, and to determine whether any proposal is in the best interest of the District and its scholars.
