Every Scholar, Every Day. They Deserve Nothing Less Than Our Best.
School safety is a shared responsibility. Every student, employee, parent, and community member plays an important role in helping maintain a safe and secure learning environment. If you see something that doesn't seem right, trust your instincts and say something.

Reporting concerns early can help prevent incidents before they occur. Concerns may include threats of violence, bullying, harassment, suspicious behavior, weapons, vandalism, unsafe conditions, self-harm concerns, or any activity that could affect the safety or well-being of students, staff, or visitors.

Pittsburg Unified School District encourages anyone with a safety concern to report it as soon as possible. Reports can be made through school administration, a trusted staff member, law enforcement when appropriate, or the District's anonymous reporting system. Every report is taken seriously and reviewed by the appropriate personnel so that concerns can be assessed and addressed promptly.

We encourage individuals to provide as much detail as possible, including who was involved, what occurred, when and where the incident took place, and any other information that may assist in the response. Even if you are unsure whether something is significant, it is always better to report a concern than to remain silent.
Creating safe schools requires a partnership between our schools, families, students, employees, and the community. By speaking up when something seems wrong, you help protect our scholars, staff, and visitors and contribute to a positive and secure learning environment for everyone.

If there is an immediate threat to life or safety, call 911 immediately before submitting a report.
