Pittsburg Unified School District is leveraging the power of the internet to radically improve the governance process while saving time, taxpayer dollars and the environment. This eGovernance initiative replaces the old, time consuming, and costly method of compiling, printing, binding and distributing paper agenda packets by hand. BoardDocs ® is a powerful, easy-to-use solution which enables the district to maximize the effectiveness of board meetings with increased transparency, providing a basis for better and more open communication with the public, while dramatically increasing productivity and saving thousands of dollars annually.
Electronic distribution provides public access via the PUSD website to board agenda items and other governing board related information. This process allows interested parties to view information prior to board meetings. PUSD board members and staff also have access to best practices from other districts that are using the system, allowing them to gain important knowledge about initiatives other governing bodies have considered and implemented.
BoardDocs ® uses a structured, collaborative workflow that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs and legal requirements of public school boards, county commissions, municipal governments, and a wide variety of other types of governing bodies.

- Download the Zoom App
We recommend that you download the Zoom app before the meeting if you don’t have it already. - Join Zoom Meeting
The zoom link, Meeting ID and Password will be posted on the agenda in BoardDocs. When the meeting begins, click the direct yellow "Video" button on the agenda in BoardDocs to join. Zoom will open automatically. Alternatively, you can open your Zoom app and click “Join Meeting.” Your app will then prompt you to enter the Meeting ID and password, which will be posted on this page.

- You will be prompted to enter the meeting information.
- Enter Meeting Information
The Meeting ID and Passcode will be posted on the Board meeting agenda prior to the meeting time. When prompted, enter the Meeting ID, followed by #. After that, follow prompt to enter the meeting Passcode, followed by #. - Instructions for Virtual Public Comment
- The Board hears public comments at each meeting. If you wish to speak, you must ‘Raise Your Hand’ at the time the Board is discussing the agenda item you wish to speak on, so you can get in the line to speak.
- To raise your hand by video conference: Click on the Participants button at the bottom of your screen and select the “Raise Your Hand” button to request to speak.
- To raise your hand by phone: When Public Comment is asked for, press *9 to “Raise Your Hand” to request to speak.
- When called upon, you will be unmuted. After the allotted time, you will be re-muted.
